The Saginaw Valley Adjusters are pleased to offer a scholarship opportunity to its members. Your continued support of the association, monthly meetings, outings and expos make this possible. Last year we gave away over $15,000 in scholarship awards!!!

November 1, 2020 to April 11, 2020 (application submission deadline)

Eligibility

To be considered for the scholarship the following criteria must be met:

• Student must be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing or have been successfully admitted into a college/university for the upcoming academic year.
• Planning to enroll with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Self or immediate family member of a SVAA member in good standing.
• Limit of two applications per member
• 500-word essay

Selection Process

The Saginaw Valley Adjusters Association board will review all applications and consider the eligibility of the applicant’s application. The applicant must submit a 500-word essay on a topic chosen by the board. All awards are made for the upcoming Fall and Spring Semesters through this application. No applications will be processed after the submission deadline.

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by the application submission deadline. Application received after the application submission deadline will not be reviewed. Applications submitted by the application submission deadline without all the required supporting documentation will be deemed incomplete and will not be reviewed. 

Scholarship Amount

A minimum of $500 and a maximum of $1,000 will be awarded to each scholarship recipient. The number of scholarships will be based on the applications received and funds in the account. Applying for the scholarship does not guarantee an award will be given to the applicant. Definitions

“Immediate family member” means a member’s child, grandchild, niece or nephew.
“Member in good standing” means dues are current and has attended 4+ meetings by the application deadline.
